But the question arises as to how tidy people manage to always have everything in its place and not forget anything or leave anything behind. To produce clutter ? Today you will learn 6 tips that will simplify your journey to becoming a more organized person.

1. keep a list

If you can’t remember where all your things have gone, it’s worth starting with lists. For example, you can stick them on the fridge, write them on a whiteboard or update them electronically. With the help of lists you can:

– List and record the places where you store your items or important utensils. This allows you to quickly check if you need a tool that you don’t use very often, such as chicken scissors.

– Check inventory, write down which items they own

– You can use a tally sheet to keep track of how many times certain products or items are used

It may not seem very obvious at first why you should make a list, there are more things to keep in mind. But once you’ve got into the habit of checking everything, you won’t have the problem of thinking about where you’ve left your car keys or where you’ve put the bill, because with the list you’ll know where your keys are.

2. categorise objects

By categorising items such as clothes or kitchen utensils that you store in the cupboard, for example rice or flour or sugar, you can avoid having to clear out half the cupboard to get to a product that you need every day anyway just so that everything fits in the cupboard. Putting too many things in the cupboard may help to keep the kitchen table and shelves tidy, but if the cupboard is completely cluttered, you have simply replaced one mess with another.

3. planning in advance

Some people love to plan everything precisely. But others don’t like to be tied to a plan and would much rather just decide in the moment and do what they feel like doing. More and more often, however, we hear that it is helpful to have a plan in order to pursue a goal or to know what you are doing. The saying “Many roads lead to Rome” has some truth in it, but if you simply set sail from the harbour, you will not reach your destination by the quickest, easiest or most efficient route.

Planning in advance allows you to concentrate on the essentials. You will no doubt be familiar with the problem: “What should I wear today?”. You can easily avoid this with this trick. Simply lay out the clothes for the next day before you go to bed. This will allow you to avoid unnecessary clutter in your head.

4. avoid procrastination

Unfortunately, procrastination is a widespread disease and affects around 99% of all people to such an extent that they are sure to miss out on something at some point in their lives because they keep putting off the daily cleaning of their home.

To combat procrastination, try the following: If you realise you are about to make a decision that will cause you to put something off, for example, I can take the full bin bag out tomorrow, then stop for a moment, take a few deep breaths, count five, four, three, two, one…. and then just do it. Just take the full bin bag out or just do the laundry quickly or whatever you need to do.

However, you should never do nothing with this trick… if you start counting: five, four,… then you have to do the work that you want to postpone so much, because if you get used to simply counting down from five and not doing anything, then this trick won’t help at all. So only use this trick if you are absolutely sure that you should, must and really don’t want to put off the task at hand any longer. This means you always have a secret weapon to put the procrastination syndrome in checkmate.

5. clean up directly

Don’t let a huge mess develop in the first place. It may not seem pleasant to come home from a long day and then have to hang up your clothes or put them in the laundry basket instead of just dropping them on the floor and leaving them there for a day or two.

At the moment it seems like an unnecessary amount of work, but if you look at such small actions as a whole, by following this rule your household will be as clean in no time as when you come back to the hotel on holiday after an eventful day and your bed is made up, your clothes are on the chair and the laundry has been changed. Isn’t that a nice idea?

6. discipline

Now, as a final step towards better organisation, you can remember that discipline is very beneficial. With the help of discipline, you will be able to keep your workplace, your living room, your car and your head a little tidier.

The trick is to get into the habit of taking the small steps that aren’t actually that difficult. Simply unloading the dishwasher so that your sweetheart has a little less work to do can work wonders. It’s only a small thing, but the joy that your partner will most likely show you will also cause your brain to release happiness hormones. This will allow you to feel less resistance next time.

If you have made it this far: A heartfelt 💕 -Thank you from Team Suuber!

Suuberman and Suuberwoman are enthusiastic about you and would love to read your opinion on our blog!

Many people are chaotic, and they are not alone.
